Many companies are now utilizing analyzer programs to evaluate the performance of engines. The fuel injection valve is a highly technical component requiring a complete seal. Perfect alignment must be achieved in order to accomplish this...that's why the Wesco cartridge is so useful. It utilizes two bushings, one each on the top and bottom, installed at the factory to ensure perfect alignment and provide maximum life from the valve. The Wesco Fuel Valve Cartridge System has greatly improved engine performance and reduced operating costs for the natural gas engines of today.

Cartridge Kit Installation

The "chevron" type packing on the reciprocating valve stem has been eliminated, thus reducing valve drag, closing time, stem wear and eliminating leakage through the packing. Spare packing and packing boxes can be eliminated from inventories.
The Valve face and seat are lapped during manufacturing, eliminating the need for this process on site.
There is no seat insert to fall out. The seat is machined from stellite weld which is applied to the cartridge face.
Only the cartridge need be sent to Wesco for repair. This reduces freight costs and the need for spare cages.
Unit type cartridge construction assures perfect alignment of the valve stem relative to the valve seat.
Cartridge conversions are available for most two-cycle engines.
Cartridges can be stocked on site and installed by station personnel.
